Far Cry 6 story - Most definitely not set in a Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant If that's the case, it has a solid window of time to perfect the game and get it ready for release without delay. Given that we are getting the PS5 and the Xbox Series X within the next few months (praying to the gods of gaming that this is still true), and that this release date is at least two months after that period, it's safe to assume Ubisoft has been building this game on the newer consoles and might be quite far along the development line. We know that almost every major game has been shuffled back in recent months thanks to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but we think this date might actually be quite reasonable. Much sooner than you might anticipate, as it's slated for release on February 18, 2021. Far Cry 6 release date - When can I play it? Michael Mando's incredible performance as the unpredictable Vas all the way back in Far Cry 3 is still perched on the pedestal as the greatest of antagonists, but we can easily see Esposito taking over as the fearless "El Presidente". You might have your favourites, but the more recent additions to the series have been somewhat lacklustre compared to the titans of the first three games. With much of the mechanics and gameplay remaining largely the same across the five games so far, the Far Cry series lives and dies on its villains, of which there has been a mixed bag. Far Cry 6 Villain - Giancarlo Esposito enters the game Read on to find out everything we know about Far Cry 6. In fact some of the only details we know at the moment is that it's set in the fictional island of Yara, a new Caribbean location based near Cuba during a fiery revolution, led by the terrifying Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad fame. This latest instalment hasn't got that much info to go on so far, but it likely looks to repeat the excellent mechanics and story-driven gaming that has made the Far Cry games a staple part of any console library. The Far Cry series has hit a number of peaks and troughs in its long life, with the community still holding Far Cry 3's Vas (Michael Mando) as the greatest villain ever created, and quietly hiding Troy Baker's Far Cry 4 box from their collection, but maybe it will be sixth time lucky. Gamers might still be impatiently waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but Ubisoft is building hype for a number of its upcoming games to distract you from the pain of delay, and now we have every reason to be excited for its newest announcement: Far Cry 6, the eighth in the series if you're counting.
